Karina Auger is an expert in international public affairs and crisis management, advising governments, public and private organizations and their leaders on navigating complex challenges. In recent years, she has specialized in the geopolitics and geoeconomics of the African continent, supporting both African governments in managing their reputations and relationships with international stakeholders, as well as companies looking to invest or expand their presence on the continent. As a senior director, in addition to co-coordinating the firm’s business development efforts in Africa, Karina oversees the International Public Affairs, Sovereign & Geopolitical Advisory and the Issues & Crisis Management practices in France. Over the past few years, she has notably led advocacy programs for the government of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and the Republic of Benin, and supported international companies such as AXA, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, DP World, the Libra Association, L’Oréal and Solvay.

Before joining APCO, Karina served as chief of staff and media advisor to the president of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC), the French public agency responsible for funding and regulating the film and audiovisual industries. She has also worked as a consultant at a leading international consultancy, advising foreign governments and political parties, and supporting various companies in managing their reputations and their relationships with key stakeholders.

A French and Canadian citizen, Karina began her career as a political staffer at the Canadian House of Commons, gaining experience in political communication. Karina is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and the Sorbonne Nouvelle University. She is currently completing an Executive Master’s in Geopolitics and Geoeconomics of Emerging Africa at HEC Paris and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat.
