Director, MENA Health Co-Lead

Jumana specializes in the pharmaceutical sector and public health and is a member of the firm’s public affairs health care team, bringing more than 8 years of experience within the MENA region. As a MENA health co-lead at APCO, Jumana advises health care clients on public health policy, government affairs and regulatory affairs.​

Prior to joining APCO, Jumana worked within the public health and development field on USAID-funded health care projects for the Jordanian Ministry of Health. She was a Senior Technical Advisor for antimicrobial resistance, infection prevention and control and health communication and awareness working on a multi-million-dollar project focused on pharmaceutical systems strengthening. Jumana was also a Project Coordinator for Jordan’s first Maternal Mortality Surveillance and Response System, as part of a $50 million reproductive and maternal health care project. ​

Jumana also has extensive experience within the pharmaceutical sector across research, clinical pharmacy and industry settings. She worked as a clinical pharmacist at Barts and the London NHS Trust in the UK and as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer at Hikma Pharmaceuticals in Jordan. During her time at Hikma, Jumana managed Hikma’s product registrations across the Gulf Cooperation Council region.

Jumana is a UK trained pharmacist with a Master of Pharmacy degree from Cardiff University and an MSc in Public Health from King’s College London.
