Juan Ignacio
Rubio Gorrochategui

Juan Ignacio Rubio Gorrochategui specializes in government relations and public affairs, specifically in the health care and life sciences sectors, working with clients like CSL, Pfizer or Merck. Although most of the accounts he works in are UK-wide, his knowledge of the EU political and regulatory environment has allowed him to collaborate on European wide projects as well. He currently serves as an associate consultant based in APCO’s London office. ​

Prior to joining APCO, Juan worked for other London-based agencies. He also spent time at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Health and Food Safety in Brussels, where he participated in the design of media campaigns against vaccine misinformation, among other public health issues.

Juan holds a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London and an MSc in Environment, Politics and Development from SOAS, University of London. During his time at Imperial College, he was the politics editor of the university’s student newspaper. Apart from English, Juan is fluent in his native Spanish.
