Dr. Joyeta Ghoshal is a senior associate director in the India operations of APCO, based in Mumbai. Her primary focus is supporting clients in the healthcare and development sectors to which she brings over eleven years of diverse experience.

At APCO, Dr. Ghoshal has led global healthcare clients belonging to the pharma sector, diagnostic, device companies and the public health sector in areas like advocacy strategies, market creation, garnering political support and stakeholder management. She also manages mandates in the development sector practice, national and international not for profit organizations, celebrity foundations, incubation platforms and multi laterals among others in areas like crisis management, government advocacy, creating political will, stakeholder mapping and management, maturity level assessments and partnership opportunity studies among others.

Dr. Ghoshal joined APCO from Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd., where, as a core team member of the DFID funded Technical Management Support Agency (TMSA) to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, she was responsible for national level planning and review of the RCH/NRHM program.

Prior to this, Dr. Ghoshal served in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (both in the central and in state and district level health departments) and has worked with international agencies like FHI 360 and Ipas. Her functional areas of expertise are in the fields of planning, advocacy, system strengthening, program management, monitoring, capacity building, strategic behavior communication and liasioning with the government. Her specific areas of interest lie in reproductive and child health, HIV, sexual and reproductive rights, gender and related areas which directly impact communities or individuals. She also has to her credit the design of a participatory training module for peer educators and outreach staff on a segmented approach to outreach in the BMGF funded Aastha project in FHI 360.
