Jean-Renaud Roy is a senior advisor at APCO Paris.
In his previous role as senior director of corporate affairs, Jean-Renaud led the government affairs team at Microsoft France, a company he joined in 2014. More recently, he played a pivotal role in building the government relations team at the biotech company Illumina in Brussels, establishing its dialogue with European institutions on competition law.
Before joining Microsoft, Jean-Renaud served as a delegate for public affairs at **Syntec Numérique**, now known as **Numeum**, the leading business association of the digital ecosystem in France. He embarked on his illustrious career at the French Ministry of Defense, where he held various positions as a member of the cabinet, specializing in digital, innovation funding and defense matters. His diverse experience and expertise make him a key asset in APCO’s mission to navigate the complex digital landscape.
Jean-Renaud is a specialist in issues relating to digital sovereignty, public policies to support innovation, cloud computing and artificial intelligence. He also has extensive experience with the French Parliament, having worked for the French Senate for ten years.
