Consultant

Hannah Bettsworth is a Consultant based in APCO’s Brussels office. She specialises in rare diseases, including rare cancers and health technology assessment / market access. Hannah supports a wide variety of policy research and narrative development projects, including the development of a good practice framework for global rare disease policy. She also coordinates multi-market analyses of the state of play in select disease areas, and has a track record of engaging with EU stakeholders on awareness of and research funding for blood clotting disorders.

Prior to joining APCO, Hannah worked at Rare Diseases Europe on the first-ever Rare Disease Week in Brussels, working closely with patient advocates and arranging meetings with 19 Members of the European Parliament. She was also a trainee at the European Parliament based in the Policy Department of the Directorate-General for External Policies of the Union and focusing on EU-UK relations.

In addition, Hannah serves as the vice chair of the Liberal Democrats (UK) International Relations Committee, and is a former member of the European Health Parliament (Health Data Committee).

Hannah holds a master’s degree in European affairs from Sciences Po Paris and an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Politics from the University of Edinburgh. A native English speaker, she is fluent in French and Spanish and speaks basic Dutch.
