Deputy Managing Director

Hala Hayek is deputy managing director of APCO’s Riyadh office. Ms. Hayek currently leads the communication work on Soudah Development, a real estate development company owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. She also supports APCO’s work with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Expo 2020 project with the Ministry of Economy and Planning. Her duties include project management, development and implementation of communication internal and external strategies, branding alignment, and activations, in addition to overseeing social media and media relations outreach. Prior to joining APCO Saudi Arabia in 2019, Ms. Hayek worked for the firm from 2015 to 2016 in Qatar.

Ms. Hayek was an entrepreneur in Lebanon and founded Apostrophe’ specialized in communication, digital, and creative production. Before Apostrophe’, she was head of communications at Red Bull Lebanon and Red Bull Qatar handling editorial, digital, events and product marketing. She also engaged in research and communication with various organizations including the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radio Lebanon, and Italian embassy.

Ms. Hayek was appointed in February 2019 by the Lebanese government to represent the Lebanese state for a two-year mandate in the Arab Women Organization. She is also part of the Lebanese Tourism Energy, working on rebranding Lebanon as a touristic destination.

Ms. Hayek holds a master’s degree in information and communication from Université Saint Joseph (USJ), received with great distinction. She also did a preparatory year in history in Paris Sorbonne University- Abu Dhabi and graduated in June 2010 from USJ with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs. She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English.
