Senior Director
Glyn Cozart Chaney advises a diverse set of clients on issues critical to their business operations, with a focus on litigation, reputation and issues management and international public affairs with a specialty in Russia and CIS countries. Glyn currently serves as a Senior Director based in APCO’s Washington office, where she is a member of the Office of the Executive Chairman team. Glyn specializes in digging into complex issues for her teams, understanding the nuances of policy developments and then helping clients focus on what matters most to their business.
Prior to APCO, Glyn was at CLS Strategies, working closely with an association representing local leaders to shape the organization’s external communications and advocacy around COVID-19 relief, infrastructure and workforce development. Her work also focused on managing litigation and crisis communications for major pharmaceutical and medical device companies on antitrust issues, government investigations and other civil litigation.
Prior to her time at CLS, Glyn built her career at APCO, where she worked on multiple international arbitrations and complex litigation, developing communications and outreach strategies to raise awareness and understanding of the case with policymakers, academics and the media. She also worked closely with multinational corporations and organizations to shape their internal and external communications around their policy priorities, including by coordinating their presence at major international events. She started her career working for PBN H+K Strategies in Moscow, working with corporate clients to evaluate their exposure to sanctions risk and conduct due diligence on their local partners.
Glyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Arts in Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. She was recently named to PRWeek’s 40 under 40 class of 2022 and is a recipient of the Alfa Fellowship and a member of the Eurasia Foundation’s Young Professionals Network.
