Senior Associate Director 

Gemma Kyle is a senior associate director based in APCO’s Singapore office. She leads the sustainability and social impact practice, helping mission-driven organizations to communicate their environmental and social value. She has experience of working with clients in the agricultural, healthcare, technology and philanthropic sectors to design and execute engagement strategies that drive positive change.

Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Kyle worked for 100 Resilient Cities – a global city resilience network pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation. She has experience in helping cities to communicate risk and resilience action planning to their stakeholders. Her work involved partnering with city governments in Vietnam, India, South Korea, Japan and Singapore to develop and implement city-wide resilience strategies that respond to complex challenges, such as climate change and rapid urbanization. She has experience of aligning decision-makers behind strategy recommendations through stakeholder analysis, consultation, convenings and the use of results frameworks.

Ms. Kyle started her career at the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore, the government agency responsible for national land use planning, where she collaborated on research projects to advance Singapore’s long-term development goals. Ms Kyle also led efforts to communicate urban innovations to internal and external audiences through exhibitions, panel discussions and articles.

Ms. Kyle has a master’s degree in international development from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor’s degree in environmental geography from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.
