Associate Consultant

Emma Lin provides strategic counsel in communication and government relations through media monitoring and industry policy analysis. ​Emma currently serves as an Associate Consultant based in APCO’s Shanghai office.

Before joining APCO, Emma was a political affairs intern at the United Nations Operations and Crisis Centre at the UN Headquarters in New York. She provided senior UN leaders with a 24/7 common operational picture of developments in 14 UN peacekeeping fields as well as integrated crisis response support. Emma also interned at the Institute for China-America Studies and International Committee of the Red Cross, where she was responsible for research, policy analysis, and event organization. ​

Emma graduated from John Hopkins University with a master’s degree in international economics and China studies, specializing in international affairs and China’s foreign policy. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in media, culture, and communication from New York University. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
