Devyn McDonald is a director in APCO’s Raleigh, North Carolina office, leading the public affairs practice for the South region. Her work at APCO includes national, state and local public affairs, advocacy and community engagement campaigns, national and global issues management and crisis response, and litigation communications projects. Ms. McDonald has experience in various sectors including energy and environmental policy, health, transportation, financial services, tax policy, K-12 and higher education, B2B and consumer technology, and infrastructure and economic development.

Ms. McDonald also has experience working with companies and coalitions to develop and deploy integrated public affairs campaigns, leveraging government relations, community and stakeholder engagement, research, creative, digital and paid media to drive reputational, legislative and regulatory outcomes. She also supports clients in planning for and responding to public crises, high-profile litigation, data and cybersecurity breaches and major issue campaigns.

Prior to joining APCO, Ms. McDonald worked on a U.S. Senate campaign as a fundraising and communications assistant. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
