Devika Chawla is an experienced public policy and government affairs professional bringing over seven years of experience across multiple sectors and locations. As an Associate Consultant in APCO’s New Delhi office, and a member of the Government Affairs and Policy Advocacy team, Devika has worked with clients across a range of sectors, developing tailored outreach, advocacy and engagement strategies to help them distinguish and differentiate themselves. She is also an experienced project manager, having overseen projects from APCO’s regional and global offices.
Prior to joining APCO, Devika was the assistant manager at Invest India, the national investment promotion agency operational under the Government of India. In this role, she led thought leadership and policy development for India’s investment and trade policies and was active in developing her team’s annual strategy and fostering institutional partnerships. Based in New Delhi, the exposure to government officials and projects in this role significantly contributed to deepening understanding of public policy implementation in India, a skill she frequently leverages to support clients in her current capacity at APCO.
Before Invest India, Devika has also done shorter stints with other government offices in India including the PMO, Parliament and a Delhi based think tank where she supported knowledge and capacity development efforts along with writing and research. Devika is a graduate in International Relations from the Australian National University and is fluent in Hindi and English.
