Senior Associate Director
Derek Jackson operates as a content and creative strategist across the firm’s Digital, Public Affairs and Studio practices. Whether raising awareness, influencing public opinion, or driving action, he works with clients from a wide range of sectors to build forward-looking, integrated campaign strategies that center their goals. Derek is a senior associate director, based in APCO’s New York office.
Prior to joining APCO, Derek headed up digital communications for the German Foreign Ministry’s foremost public diplomacy campaign in the United States. His early career included research and communications work at nonprofits and advocacy organizations.
Derek holds a M.A. in Political Science from UNC Chapel Hill and a M.Mus in Ethnomusicology from King’s College London.
