Chris Levy is European director of APCO Insight – APCO’s in-house, full-service research consultancy. Based in London, he leads a team working across Brussels, Germany, France, Italy and elsewhere. He has 15 years’ experience in designing, managing and analyzing primary research amongst a range of audiences – from the general public to political elites. He has a particular background in managing corporate reputation projects and designing insight-led communications, frequently across multiple markets. He also carries out more tactical issues-management work, developing and testing using a variety of quantitative and qualitative techniques.
Prior to joining APCO Insight, Mr. Levy helped develop the reputation function at YouGov, one of the UK’s most prominent pollster and research organizations. Here he coordinated an ongoing global reputation program on behalf of Barclays bank, covering markets in Africa and Asia, as well as the UK and United States. He has carried out similar work on behalf of SABMiller, Philips, IKEA and Nestlé.
Mr. Levy also has a strong background in opinion polling, having started his career at TNS – a social and market research company now part of the WPP group. This included training in market research techniques and a stint in Brussels working on the Eurobarometer – a public opinion program carried out across the EU on behalf of the European Commission. He has also worked with several other multilaterals and NGOs including the World Bank and the ICRC, including projects amongst sensitive political audiences in difficult-to-research countries.
Mr. Levy holds a Master of Science in International Relations from Bristol University, a bachelor’s degree in modern history from Oxford University and the UK Market Research Society’s Advanced Certificate.
