Villafañe

Associate Director

Camille Villafañe is an Associate Director in APCO’s New York office. She focuses on international policy developments and issues management, including in the intergovernmental sector. While at APCO, she has advised various organizations in the technology, financial, and consumer goods industries with reputational challenges, complex geopolitical issues, ESG and social impact. She is the founder and co-chair of the LatinAPCO Employee Resource Group and was recognized as Business Insider’s Top Rising Stars in Public Relations.

Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Villafañe worked for the public affairs practice at Edelman and provided communications support to the United Nations’ Ocean Generation. She previously worked on defense issues for the Bureau of Industry and Security at the U.S. Department of Commerce and on strategic partnerships for the Office of the Secretary of Education at the U.S. Department of Education. She has had extensive international experience, advising the Delegation of the European Union in the United States on energy and environmental issues as well as helping develop European security strategies for the Royal Military Academy in Brussels,

Ms. Villafañe is fluent in Spanish and French and proficient in Italian. She is a Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow from Carnegie Mellon University and a Killam Fellow from the University of Victoria in Canada. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from American University and a Master of Science in Global Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
