Brendan Ward, creative director based in APCO’s Raleigh office, has 15 years of experience helping organizations refine their vision by distilling complex brand messages into simple, creative solutions. Mr. Ward has worked with various clients hailing from a wide range of sectors, including Duke University, ARCA, Office Depot and the state of North Carolina.
Prior to joining APCO, Mr. Ward spent six years opening and growing Harbor Studio, creative strategy firm in Durham, North Carolina. At Harbor Studio, he oversaw marketing campaigns and branding projects for clients across several different industries. Whether working with a major clinical research organization or a consumer product startup, his thorough approach and unwavering commitment to each partnership remained the same.
While running his creative studio, Mr. Ward also cofounded Kaleida, an arts and activism collective that offers affordable workspaces and a creative community on a sliding price scale. Kaleida is a self-funded, member-owned community dedicated to reducing barriers to entry for all residents of Durham.
Mr. Ward has also served as an adjunct lecturer at his alma mater, the School of Media and Journalism at UNC Chapel Hill, where he taught a course on introduction to graphic design.
