Blythe Reiss, senior director, heads APCO Worldwide’s food and consumer products practice in North America. A recognized leader in branding and positioning, crisis management and media relations, Ms. Reiss has more than 25 years of experience managing corporate and brand marketing programs for many of the world’s best-known companies.
Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Reiss served as vice president of communications, Americas, for Electrolux Group, the world’s second-largest home appliance manufacturer, overseeing comprehensive corporate communication campaigns, issues management programs and internal communication efforts.
Ms. Reiss also has extensive agency experience, having led large-scale global communication campaigns for a range of high-profile brands as managing director, marketing and corporate practices, at Burson-Marsteller. Earlier in her career, Ms. Reiss served as senior vice president at Hill & Knowlton, where she created high-visibility media relations programs for mega-food brands and offered counsel on issues including food contamination and employment practices.
Ms. Reiss earned a Bachelor of Arts with highest honors in government from Skidmore College. She recently completed Arthur W. Page Society’s Future Leaders program, a two-year program designed to prepare high-potential communication executives to enter chief communication officer (CCO) roles at major corporations.
