Anusha Sharma is a consultant at APCO Worldwide’s India operations, based out of Mumbai. She has over five years of experience in the field of public affairs. At APCO, Ms. Sharma has undertaken reputation building mandates, crisis communication management, policy & regulatory feasibility assessments, stakeholder identification and engagement.
Ms. Sharma has demonstrated abilities in identifying, monitoring, analyzing policy and political developments for policy advocacy. She creates well-researched reports through focus-group discussions, in-depth interviews and secondary research and she has been operational lead for policy and media landscape studies and stakeholder outreach engagements. Ms. Sharma handled communication crisis for clients in the states of Rajasthan, and Punjab. She, independently, managed the communication outreach for Educate Girls (EG), an NGO working to improve access to education in remotest areas of India and presented EG’s Development Impact Bond in the education space to policymakers through various communications tools. Her focus lies in the FMCG, healthcare, and development sectors and she has prolific experience in public relations and branding as well. Over the course of her career, Ms. Sharma has worked on number of communication and branding projects for clients in FMCG, sports and hospitality sector.
Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Sharma worked with Perfect Relations, a full-service public relations firm operating in India. In her role, she primarily handled CSR communication and communication for social causes for organizations from various sectors.
Ms. Sharma has a post-graduate degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Xavier Institute of Communications and has completed an online certificate course in Public Policy Challenges of the 21st Century from University of Virginia, Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.
