Amelie Coulet is a director in APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office where she works on public affairs and government relations campaigns for clients primarily in the field of technology. She also has experience working with other sectors, including sports, aviation, financial services and food and consumer products.
With nearly 15 years experience in strategic communications, Ms. Coulet specializes in EU stakeholder engagement, issue management, coalition building, lobbying and corporate communications. She has spent several years supporting large technology companies and creative industries in their Brussels engagement, covering a number of policy issues within the EU Digital Agenda, such as copyright, IP enforcement, audiovisual, cybersecurity, cloud and data protection reforms, internet governance/net neutrality and telecoms. She is also an experienced coalition manager, having created and run several associations aiming at mobilizing third party voices on specific issues.
She has a sound knowledge of European institutions and EU-policymaking processes, having previously worked at the Delegation of the European Commission in Japan in the political and public/cultural affairs departments.
Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Coulet worked as an analyst at a business intelligence consultancy in London, reporting on technology and telecommunications EMEA markets. She also worked in public and media relations in Paris for consumer and business-to-business technology clients.
Ms. Coulet holds a master’s degree in politics and EU government from the London School of Economics and a master’s degree in negotiation and management of international projects from the University of Montpellier III. She also completed her undergraduate studies in applied foreign languages at the University of Lyon III, the Free University of Berlin and the University of Georgia (USA). A French national, she speaks fluent English and is proficient in German
