Alaa Khalaily is an associate director in APCO’s Brussels office, specializing in providing public affairs and media support to multinational clients in the technology, financial services, and consumer goods sectors. He assists some of the world’s largest brands in understanding and navigating regulatory trends within the EU’s policy landscape. In his current role at APCO’s Brussels office, Alaa oversees a team of consultants who specialize in financial services policy. Additionally, he serves as the media engagement lead, coordinating and advising on various work streams related to policy media outreach.
Before relocating to Brussels, Alaa spent four years in APCO’s Tel Aviv office, where he advised clients on public policy issues in Israel and the Middle East. Prior to joining APCO, Alaa worked for five years at Israel’s largest banking group’s payments company, holding multiple roles. He also served as a project manager for several educational NGOs, alongside his work in the tourism sector in Israel.
Alaa holds a double major bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies and General Studies from Tel Aviv University.
