Aftan Snyder is a senior consultant in APCO Worldwide’s Global Solutions practice. She works with a variety of international clients, specializing on the Middle Eastern portfolio as well as contracts related to security and executive management.
Previous to APCO, Ms. Snyder was an Editor at The Washington Quarterly, an international security policy journal, where she managed all business operations, conducted substantive editing, and recruited high-level authors. She has also worked at such places as the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Middle East Broadcast Network, honing her skills in defense policy, risk analysis and communications.
Ms. Snyder completed her Masters of Arts in Security Policy at The Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. For her thesis, she partnered with CSIS and the Pentagon in order to assess the United States’ process of building national strategy and make recommendations for improvements. She received her BA at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, studying International Affairs and Creative Writing.
