Hannah Bettsworth is an associate consultant at APCO and is based in Brussels. She specializes in policy research and narrative development. At APCO, Ms. Bettsworth works on Health and Global Solutions projects, including the development and updating of a client narrative across multiple operating markets and engagement with EU stakeholders regarding research funding and awareness of a particular disease area–as well as overseeing policy research work across several markets.

Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Bettsworth worked in policy and advocacy at Rare Diseases Europe where she assisted in preparations for the first-ever Rare Disease Week in Brussels, working closely with patient advocates and arranging meetings with 19 Members of the European Parliament. She was also a trainee at the European Parliament, based in the Policy Department of the Directorate-General for External Policies of the Union and focusing on EU-UK relations.

Outside of APCO, Ms. Bettsworth is a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Council, the Vice Chair of the Liberal Democrats (UK) International Relations Committee and a former member of the European Health Parliament (Health Data Committee).

Ms. Bettsworth holds a master’s degree in European affairs from Sciences Po Paris and an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Politics from the University of Edinburgh. A native English speaker, she is fluent in French and Spanish.
