Billing Accountant
Washington, D.C.

APCO Worldwide, a global strategic communication consulting firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., is seeking a billing accountant responsible for managing the billing/invoicing process for APCO's clients. You will work with our client account/project managers to produce and finalize monthly client invoices through a pre-bill/proforma process, prepare client budget tracking reports and reconcile client accounts, reconcile manual invoices and set up new client accounts or projects.

A successful candidate will have an accounting degree or equivalent work experience, and three or more years of client billing experience (retainer, time + material, etc.) preferably in a professional services firm. You must have proven experience using accounting/ERP software, excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to multi-task. Proficiency in MS Office products also required.

Online Marketing & Communication Associate

The Online Marketing & Communication Associate will manage APCO's online positioning, brand and reputation. Responsibilities include: Web site development on behalf of APCO; working with application developers and graphic designers to support online marketing; drafting and managing online content; updating corporate Web sites (to include sub-sites and intranet); managing corporate contact database; organizing e-mail outreach; driving APCO's social media initiatives; SEO; monitoring blogs; and evaluating analytics. Requires a Bachelors Degree (a marketing, public relations or online communication degree preferred) and 3-5 years of relevant experience that includes experience designing and maintaining multiple Web sites, management of multiple complex projects and demonstrated strong proficiency in HTML and working with style sheets.

The most competitive candidates will also demonstrate strong project management skills, knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in online and social media, familiarity with online media research tools (i.e. ComScore, NetRatings) and an understanding of blog communities, blog advertising and monitoring.
