Yanichnat Oom Chalermtiarana, managing director in APCO Worldwide’s Bangkok office, supports the firm’s business in Southeast Asia with a focus on Thailand. She manages regional client projects ranging from advising clients on market entry and investment, issue management and strategic communications, to community and third-party engagement. She develops multiple stakeholder engagement and communications strategies and executes them across the region, regularly engaging government officials, the private sector and the media.
Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Chalermtiarana was part of the Public Service Executive Development Program (PSED) in the Thai government. She was also previously a strategy specialist for Kasikorn Bank. During her time there, she developed and executed action plans based on internal and external growth factors for the private banking sector of Kasikorn Bank.
Ms. Chalermtiarana has worked for BrooksBower Asia in Washington, D.C., providing analysis on the political, social and economic landscape in ASEAN. She was a Starr Foundation Fellowship Recipient at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University, where she received her master's in Southeast Asian studies and international economics.
